book Miraculous Health: How to Heal Your Body by Unleashing the Hidden Power of Your Mind, was published by Atria
Books/Beyond Words (an imprint of Simon & Schuster) in 2008. He was instrumental in counseling Washingtonians
after the 9/11 terrorist attacks and consulted with the highest levels of the U.S. military on their response to the crisis.
His exceptional success in treating traumatic stress is described in the book Hidden Battles on Unseen Fronts, by Celia
Strauss, sponsored by the U.S. Armed Forces Foundation, in bookstores in April, 2009. |

Dr. Levy was awarded the Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Duquesne University in 1976. He is board certified in clinical
psychology, psychotherapy, hypnosis, forensic medicine, and forensic examination. He has served as Chairman of the
Departments of Psychology at Somerset State and Holidaysburg State Hospitals and Assistant Professor of Psychology
at Frostburg University. Early in his career, he led the national hospital privileges movement in the U.S., which ensured
that patients in general hospitals would have access to psychological services. He also authored the first credentialing
standards for psychologists who work in hospital settings. |
